Ethics policy |
|
|
|
New Horizons provides a
platform to disseminate latest research work across multiple
disciplines and to acquaint the readers with advances in
contemporary academics. The editorial team has a firm stance against
plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit and
other such unethical practices. All submissions are checked for
plagiarism using anti plagiarism software and if any submission is
found to be plagiarized, it is not considered for publication. An
author submitting plagiarized papers may also be blacklisted from
future submissions. A stringent ethics policy governs the process of
publication at each level.
Editorial Board must ensure complete confidentiality under
the Double-blind Peer Review. Information regarding the manuscript
must not be shared with anyone other than the author and the
reviewer. The reviewers must not know whose paper they are reviewing
and similarly the author must not be disclosed the identity of the
reviewer. Editors must excuse themselves from considering
manuscripts where they have conflict of interest. Editors are
responsible for deciding which papers will be published.
The Reviewer(s) assist(s) in improving the quality of the
paper. It is important that they inform the editorial board in case
they are reviewing similar papers as their reviews contribute
significantly to the decision-making.
The Authors must send their research paper accompanied with
a certificate declaring that the work is original and unpublished.
The author can download the copyright certificate from the website.
Any manipulation with the intent to deceive or mislead the readers
is a form of misconduct, which may lead to blacklisting of the
erring contributor.
Authors are advised to record the findings of their research in
their complete form so that their credibility can be ensured by the
reviewers and readers alike. Authors may be asked to provide the
raw/primary data for editorial review, and should be prepared to
provide public access to such data, if necessary.
The author(s) shall be completely responsible for permissions
legalities pertaining to any research materials used for the writing
of a paper submitted.
Authors should write a statement regarding conflict of interest, if
any. The statement should describe all potential sources of bias,
including affiliations, funding sources, and financial or management
relationships, that might interfere with the interpretation of the
work.
All funding sources for the project/study should be credited in the
'Acknowledgements section'. In addition, if a manuscript concerns a
commercial product, the manufacturer's name must be indicated in the
'Materials and Methods section' or elsewhere in the text in an
obvious manner.
The ethical standards of experiments on animal and humane must be in
accordance with the guidelines provided by the CPCSEA (Committee for
the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals)
and ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) respectively.
All submissions dealing with human subjects must declare the
approval status from the Institutional Ethics Committee in their
respective institutions and the status of informed, written consent
from the subjects. Studies involving animals need to be submitted
with a clearance certificate from the Institutional Animal Ethics
Committee. Animal experimental procedures should be as humane as
possible and the details of anaesthetics used should be clearly
stated. The manuscript must clearly identify any chemicals,
procedures, or equipment that have any hazards inherent in their
use. The journal will not consider any paper which is ethically
unacceptable. |
